Whether you're a complete beginner or have some prior experience, this course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for safe and responsible firearm handling.

Classroom Portion:

Gun safety rules

Proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols

Ammunition knowledge and selection

Selecting and storing a pistol

The fundamentals of shooting  

Pistol inspection and maintenance  

Hands-On Practical Portion:

Instructor-led training at a firing range

Validation of comprehension and application of gun safety rules, range protocol, proper handling, loading and unloading procedures, shooting fundamentals, stable shooting positions, live fire, and final shooting qualification

Important Information:

Concealed Handgun Permit: While this course fulfills the requirements for a Florida Concealed Handgun Permit, it does not cover concealed carry topics.

Equipment: Students should provide their own firearm and holster. Firearms rental is available.

Ammunition: Students must supply their own ammunition. We recommend 200 rounds for the range portion.
